One Month Today!

Can you believe it?  I know I can't...Mr. Kyler is already one month old! 

And he is still sporting the title 'Handsomest Little Man Ever!'  :) 

He is alert more and more -- and I can pretty much count on a good hour of cooing and looking around at 9 am and 9 pm.   It is so cute to see him look around and make this facial expressions -- just wish you could know what goes on in a babies mind.  Ha!  We are still struggling with his carseat (he hates, hates, hates riding in the car), but surviving.  We are also trying to survive the long nights we have had recently.  Lil' man truly loves to be held from about 12-4 am -- not saying he isn't sleeping then, but I sure am not.  We'll have to work on that in the future as well, but right now I just want to love on him and for him to know that someone (mainly me) will be there.   He has had lots of visitors this week, attended a birthday party, gone shopping, and met the last of his cousins.  It was full week!  :)

Taking Nicoda His Big Brother Gift

Last week taking advantage of the nice weather, Kyler and I went to the cemetary to take Nicoda the stone I got for him....   I brought it before Kyler came and thought how sweet it would be take Nicoda a gift from Kyler.  Then we were actually there and it wasn't sweet anymore.  It was heartbreaking.  I was holding this precious little miracle as I sat by Nicoda's plot and I couldn't stop sobbing.  Kyler just made it all the more real what I missed with Nicoda.  I know in my head (and usually in my heart) that God has a plan bigger than just me and my wants -- but at the moment I wanted both of my boys to be alive and well SO badly.   Blessings of blessings Kyler slept through the rough part and eventually I calmed down enough to take some pictures and pray.  I thanked God for His plan for my life; for planning Nicoda's life and for holding him when I can't; and thanked him for Kyler - the baby that filled my empty arms.   Can't wait for heaven when my little family can be altogether!

The Steps to Giving a Baby His 1st Bath:

1.  a naked baby

2.  Bathing supplies:

3.  A cute tub:

4.  Next place the naked baby into the cute tub:

5. Prepare yourself -- because while he might have been confused at first, he will soon let you know he isn't a fan!!!

6.  Continue bracing yourself as you remove naked baby from cute tub and place into uber cute towel....

7.  Final Step -- Watch your heart melt as naked baby pleads to never have a bath again!!! 

Poor Kyler -- I hope that he changes his mind about bathtime soon!!!

Three Weeks has FLOWN by!

Kyler is three weeks! 

I love this little man so much.  Minus the sleep (I feel 3 weeks behind on sleep), the time has flown by. He is awake alot more during the day (and - yawn - the night), but so fun to see him looking around and learning.  He eats and eats and eats....at least it seems that way.  If he gets startled awake, even after only 20 minutes of sleep, he thinks it's time to eat.   Not alot of fun for Mommy cause it just means alot of crying and rocking, but praying he works through it...soon!  :) 

He had more first this week as well -- first visitors at our new home; first bathtub adventure (not a fan yet); first time at church; first time in his sling; first walk; first full day in gDiapers It is an adjustment, but love the thought of being green AND saving $$$) and first time visiting Nicoda.
